What to Expect When Visiting Our Okemos Chiropractic Center
Are you interested in booking an appointment but wondering what you can expect when you visit our office?
Upon entering Okemos Family Chiropractic, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center if you have not done so already at home. Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Kirby Perrault to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Kirby Perrault to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Kirby Perrault will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Kirby Perrault will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- What will my treatment cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Kirby Perrault will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Kirby Perrault will provide the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
Treatment
At the conclusion of this initial appointment, you can choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapy, and/or soft tissue massage. Treatment is interactive, so you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment anytime.
Wellness Program
Prior to leaving, the doctor will suggest a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. If you desire, our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
Payment Options
Okemos Family Chiropractic believes in the value of wellness care for you and your family and have maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. Our office participates in most insurance programs. We also accept auto accident and workers compensation cases. For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged. At Okemos Family Chiropractic we’re convinced that a small amount of your time and money to care for your most important asset–your health–will be far less time consuming and expensive than trying to recover it. If you feel you do not have enough time or money to take care of yourself, please contact us–we can help! The last thing we want is for you to come to our wellness center in crisis. So please, we would like to encourage you to take your health very seriously. As the old saying goes, if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. OUTREACH Heath and Wellness Fair Coordination
We will take the lead and help local companies set up a health and wellness fair. We have plenty of other health and wellness providers that will sign up to attend and create a very rich event for those who attend. This is a fun way to encourage health and wellness with employees – possibly even their families and the community for greater exposure! We can organize, secure providers and manage the event at no cost to the company.
